The Catholic schools and colleges are an important part of the apostolic mission of the Church in building the Kingdom of God. To ensure greater effectiveness in accomplishing the mission, the Catholic educational institutions of the Madras - Mylapore Archdiocese have come together and formulated the following vision statement that would give them a common orientation and strengthen the solidarity in their common ministry.

If the apostolic mission of building God's Kingdom on earth is to be successfully accomplished, Catholic education should first and foremost be faith inspired. Faith formation which is the promotion of a living and personal relationship between the human person and God should be the primary concern of all schools and colleges. They have in this regard a special obligation towards Catholics, which should be reflected in the recruitment of staff, admission policies and the social concern for the economically and academically weak.
